AhlulBayt News Agency - The Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF) reportedly carried out a series of airstrikes above the Idlib Governorate over the last 24 hours, targeting a Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and Jund Al-Aqsa (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) meeting at the village of Kafr Jalis.
According to a field report, the Syrian Air Force’s bombardment killed as many as 25 Jabhat Al-Nusra and Jund Al-Aqsa militants, including 8 high-ranking field commanders inside Kafr Jalis.
The report added that many of the Al-Qaeda combatants killed were foreigners from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, China, and Azerbaijan.
However, the High Command of the Syrian Armed Forces has not issued a statement regarding this attack.
The U.S. Air Force has taken credit for these airstrikes, but there has been no confirmation from the Pentagon.
